Cool Tech Shit Inc. ("CTS") warrants its electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) products against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use conditions for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase by the end user ("Warranty Period").
1. What Is Covered
- Defects in materials or workmanship that cause the product to fail to operate as described in the product specifications
- Hardware failures that are not the result of misuse, accident, or unauthorized modification
- Charging cable defects under normal use conditions
- Electronic component failures (control board, display, connectivity modules) under normal operating conditions
2. What Is NOT Covered
- Damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse, flood, fire, earthquake, or other external causes
- Damage caused by operating the product outside the permitted or intended uses described in this warranty or in the product documentation
- Damage caused by service performed by anyone who is not a representative of CTS or an authorized service provider
- Damage to the charging cable caused by being driven over, pinched, or otherwise physically abused
- Cosmetic damage, including scratches and dents
- Damage resulting from improper installation, including use of an incompatible or undersized electrical circuit
- Products with removed or altered serial numbers
- Normal wear and tear
- Damage caused by use with incompatible or non-standard electrical infrastructure
3. How to Obtain Warranty Service
To make a warranty claim:
- Contact us at warranty@cooltechshit.ca within the Warranty Period
- Provide your order number or proof of purchase, the product serial number, and a description of the defect
- We may request photos or videos of the defect prior to authorizing a return
- If the claim is approved, we will provide a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and shipping instructions
- Products must be returned in their original packaging or equivalent protective packaging
4. Warranty Remedy
At our sole discretion, CTS will either repair the defective product, replace it with a new or refurbished unit of equal or greater specification, or issue a refund of the original purchase price. Replacement products are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or 90 days, whichever is longer.
5. Shipping for Warranty Claims
CTS will cover return shipping costs for approved warranty claims within Canada. You are responsible for shipping costs to return the product to us. We will ship the repaired or replacement product to you at no charge within Canada.
6. Limitation of Warranty
THIS WARRANTY IS THE ONLY WARRANTY PROVIDED BY CTS AND IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. CTS'S LIABILITY UNDER THIS WARRANTY SHALL BE LIMITED TO REPAIR, REPLACEMENT, OR REFUND AS DESCRIBED ABOVE.
